Good question! For starters, the annual cost of a full-time senior-level designer now exceeds $100,000, plus benefits. Aside from that, you may not always have enough work to keep them busy at all times, so you're stuck paying for time you aren't able to utilize. With the monthly plan, you can pause and resume your subscription as often as you need to ensure you're only paying your designer when you have work available for them.

On the Standard and Pro plans, your subscription can be paused at any time. The way it works is that we'll credit you with the number of days you didn't have access to My Design Department services for the month you paid for. Once you have requests and you're back, you can always unpause your subscription and we'll adjust your billing cycle to match.

We do our best to ensure you're satisfied. That's why we offer unlimited requests & revisions. If for any reason, you're not happy with your subscription in the first 7 business days, you can get a full refund.

Nope! You have unlimited requests that you can add. We'll work on 1-2 requests at a time depending on your plan.

You and your team can request design work through a shared board we will set up for you in Trello.

Once you hit "Get Started", you'll be prompted to sign up for a subscription and pay. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive an invitation to your design board on Trello, along with instructions on how to add your design requests.

I take what you give me to create the designs. I need copy, any branding elements that you already have established (logo, color, fonts, etc.) and a description of what you want (brochure, landing page, etc.). This information will be requested at the start of each project. I take all that, and recommend the best way to present it. This may mean revising or cutting down the copy, recommending an alternative medium, or moving forward with the design. All this will take place within your Trello project board so that everything is organized and everybody is on the same page, and can see where every project is in the process.

It depends on the projects, here are some guidelines for how many business days before you would receive your first round designs (add about 3 days for Starter plan): print ad: 2 days logo: 3 days landing page: 3 days webpage: 5 days 8 page brochure: 5 days

We use Wix to create websites. Wix is a website builder that designers can use to create fully functional, responsive, websites without knowing code. This includes eCommerce and CMS managed sites. We can also create sites and apps in Figma to be handed off to a developer.
